Some quick tips on getting around

To read and post to club news:

Background:

There are two special message boards on ePlays.org which are set up for one-way announcements: site news and club news. The former should be self explanatory: it is where we post news about changes and upgrades to this site. Posts on site news originate from eplays.org, and are visible to everyone. Club news is for posts from ePlays.org clubs, which can be activated from most entity pages of the site. This includes Authors, Plays, Venues, Shows, and Performers. These posts are written by the owners and minions of those areas, and are visible to members of those pages' fanclubs. This is where (for example) a Performer could post "come see my show!" announcements, where a Venue could post performance and/or audition notices, or where an Author could announce a new play.

Members who join a particular club will see that club's notices in their club news message board, which is easily accessible from the main menu (under SITE NEWS).

If you are the owner or minion of an area with a club that is open, you may post messages that will originate from that area. If your expertise level is "genius" or greater, a [post news] button will appear in the button bar for any area you own, or are a minion of. Clicking that will let you post to the news feed; the page in question would be considered the "author" of the post. Posting is similar to posting to a regular message board, except that you will be taken to the club news message board when done, and posts are immediately released to all club members upon posting. You (and other minions of that club) may edit and delete the post in the usual manner.

Choose carefully which club should originate your message. Only members (and minions) of that club will see it. So if, for example, you have written a new play and wish to post about it to the club news feed, it should not come from that Play page (which probably has no fanclub members yet), but from your Author page (whose members would presumably be interested in your new work).
