Background:

The Play page contains all the information about your play, including story line, stage settings, any special props or costumes required for production, and a list of roles in the same format as the list of roles in a Show. In addition, you can enter a comment about your file downloads when creating (or editing) a Play page.

You can restrict the visibility of your Play page (allowing you to use ePlays.org as a workshop for plays in the early stages of development). Play pages that are not visible to a visitor will not be listed to that visitor on your Author page or from the PLAYS item of the main menu. Plays whose production stage is "being written" will also not be listed from the PLAYS item of the main menu.

Each Play is indexed under just one Author, however for works of co-authorship, fields are provided to list co-authors and other collaborators. Only the Author who creates (and controls) the Play page needs to be an ePlays.org member.

It is from the Play page that Authors would upload their files, and authorized visitors would download them. Access to and visibility of these files is controlled by the Author, and may depend on the relationship of the visitor to the Author or Play page. Therefore, not everyone will see the same file listing, but every visitor will see the list of files that have been released to that visitor.
